The Department of Thoracic Surgery at Liaquat National Hospital is recognized for providing exceptional and compassionate care. Our dedicated team utilizes their extensive knowledge, experience and unparalleled surgical prowess to offer latest surgical procedures for a wide range of thoracic conditions. We work closely with the departments of Pulmonology and Anesthesiology. Our services range from diagnostic, corrective to life-saving in nature. Patients admitted to our inpatient unit go through comprehensive clinical evaluation and management. They are provided standard pre-operative and post-operative care as well as critical care when needed. Our daycare team provides excellent care to the patients who have undergone minor surgical procedures such as Flexible Fiber-optic Bronchoscopy.
Education and Training
Our department is accredited by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan. We select a handful of surgical trainees for a four-year residency training in Thoracic surgery.
