Liaquat National College of Nursing was established in 1981 and since then has been providing an excellent foundation for a rewarding career in nursing. Our aim is to produce competent nurses and to improve quality of care provided at healthcare centres. Our faculty, which is highly specialized in its area of expertise, offers a wealth of knowledge and experience to the nursing students.

LNCON maintains a high standard of education and offers world class nursing training to develop clinical, research and leadership roles. We are registered with Pakistan Nursing Council (PNC), Islamabad, and offer multiple diplomas, degrees and specialized courses in nursing.

The college is affiliated with Liaquat University of Medical and Health Sciences (LUMHS), Jamshoro, Sindh and Sindh Nurses Examination Board (SNEB), Karachi. We are also recognized and registered with Pakistan Nursing Council, Islamabad.

Facilities

Students of Liaquat National College of Nursing enjoy a wide range of facilities.These include a well-equipped Research and Skills Development Centre (RSDC) which offers Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) certifications. Spacious air-conditioned halls for sessions, conferences and workshops are conducive for learning. Activities

Our students are actively involved in the research work. Our BScN Final Year students had conducted research on “Knowledge-Practice Gap” and “Factors Affecting Stress among Nursing Students” as part of their Nursing Research course in September 2018.

Liaquat National College of Nursing is always at the forefront of organizing educational and recreational events for its students. These include sports competition, religious festivals, cultural days, annual picnics, field trips, Nurses Day and the prestigious Lamp lighting and Oath taking Ceremony. We also organize and contribute to the International Nursing and Midwifery conferences held regularly at Liaquat National Hospital.

A. B.S. (Generic) Nursing (4 Years Degree Program)
Candidates who have completed F.Sc. (Pre-Medical) and secured minimum 55% marks.
B. B.Sc. Nursing (Post RN) (2 Years Degree Program)
Candidates who have completed Diploma in General Nursing, Post Basic Specialty 1 Year Diploma, have valid PNC registration, and have 2 years work experience in the relevant field.
C. One Year Diploma Programs
  • Diploma in Nurse Midwifery
  • Post Basic Diploma in Cardiac Nursing
  • Post Basic Diploma in Accident and Emergency Nursing
