Key Responsibilities:

  • Manage and oversee Payroll Function of the Institution ensuring monthly pay and other payments are timely processed and disbursed.
  • Supervise, manage and co-ordinate work activities of the payroll team to meet payroll timelines.
  • Compile data from all payroll sources and ensure Payroll is processed in an accurate, compliant and timely manner.
  • Address and resolve issues related to payroll processing
  • Process statutory payments.
  • Processing final settlement of dues for employees separating from the Institution.
  • Contribute in process improvement initiatives and in developing and maintaining the Payroll SOPs.
  • Prepare annual budget in coordination with Finance
  • Ensure all payroll information and records are maintained in accordance with the institutional policy.

Qualifications and Experience:

  • MBA/ACCA/ICMA or equivalent qualification with 8-10 years of experience at a managerial level with a large organization.
  • Strong knowledge, understanding and experience with payroll calculation, processing, statutory compliance, and accounting principles/practices.
  • Proficiency in MS-Office Application with exceptional Excel skills
  • Ability to meet deadlines and give attention to details.
  • Excellent communication, analytical, numerical and interpersonal skills.
  • Experience of running payroll in Oracle ERP
