DEPUTY MANAGER OUTPATIENT SERVICES
Opd Services
Key Responsibilities:
- Assist in planning, organizing, and managing all the activities of the OPD Services and the Senior Citizen Primary Care Unit ensuring smooth operations and service delivery.
- Develop staffing schedules to meet the needs of the OPD Service and SCPCU.
- Supervise the medical record keeping of OPD Patients and participate in developing systems and processes.
- Participate in hiring and performance appraisal of concerned staff.
- Liaises with other managers across the organization to ensure that outpatient strategies and activities are integrated with other parts of the organization and are aligned with the hospital’s overall objectives
- Participates in the planning, creation, organization, and introduction of new OPD Clinics
- Participates in developing and implementing a hospital-wide quality improvement and patient safety program.
- Develop the policies and procedures necessary to efficiently carry out the services.
- Monitor operating costs of the outpatient services and ensure resources are being adequately utilized.
- Ensures that all activities under the area of his/her responsibilities are conducted accurately, ethically, and according to the relevant policies, procedures, and standards.
- Prepare and submit periodical reports to GM OPD Services.
- Perform any other task as assigned by the General Manager of OPD Services from time to time as per the need of the department/service.
Qualifications and Experience:
- MBBS/BDS/DPT/D. Pharm/B.ScN or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution with post graduate qualification i.e MAS/MBA/MPA in Hospital/Health Care Management.
- 5 to 8 years’ experience in a hospital in managing patient care services with preferably 3 years in a supervisory role.
- Candidates should have good management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
- Excellent computer proficiency at use of MS Office is mandatory.
