Ward Coordinator
Ward Administration
Key Responsibilities:
- Coordinates the arrival of patients to the hospital, from the ward to surgery and back
- Provides patient information to the Surgeon/consultant
- Reports issues or concerns regarding patients and their families to the Ward Administrator.
- Will be responsible to work in the inpatient ward of the Hospital to carry out administrative work pertaining to a patient in coordination with Nursing staff and doctors.
- Welcoming patients in a friendly, efficient and professional manner
- Answering telephone and face to face queries of patients in the wards and at the time of discharge
- Demonstrating confidentiality and sensitivity when handling patient correspondence
- Filing and scanning patient correspondence when required
- Responsible for maintaining necessary documentation related to the patient in the patient file
- Responsible for coordination with patient/consultant at the time of discharge
- Provide complete documents of discharge to patient/attendants while leaving the hospital.
- Report any incident immediately to their Ward Administrator.
- Maintain inventory of the ward.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Graduate from a reputable institution with a minimum of 1 years' of administrative experience. Candidates having healthcare experience will be highly preferred
- Candidates should have Good communication skills and negotiation skills
- Should be proficient at use of MS Office and able to perform rotational shift duties
