Key Responsibilities:
CIO will be responsible for effective functioning of all IT related work activities and services at LNH which includes the infrastructure, software and hardware currently available and related security systems and project future needs for the same for the Institution. The CIO will report to the Medical Director at LNH who is the Chief Executive Officer of the Institution. Responsibilities of CIO will include: (i) Developing standard operating procedures and best practices for the IT Services, including written protocols, information security, control structure and guidance to employees. (ii) Establishing and implementing short term and long term departmental goals, and establishing infrastructure to support and guide line managers for use of information technology initiatives. (iii) Ensuring & maintaining security of data, controlling network access and backup procedures. (iv) Developing relationship with service providers to create cost-effective IT systems and processes to increase productivity and efficiency. (v) Recommending strategies, policies, and procedures to maintain and enhance IT systems and processes to manage software and Infrastructure. (vi) Ensuring maintenance and enhancement of LNH website as per regulatory compliance. The CIO will work in close collaboration with the end-users and will ensure effective utilization of IT services and facilities through training and change management strategies.
Qualifications and Experience:
Master’s in Computer Science/Information Technology or equivalent qualification with certified trainings in IT, with at least 15+ years’ experience in IT at successively higher levels of responsibility, including 5+ years at managerial level and at least 3 to 5 years as Head of IT in a large organization, preferably in the health care industry; CIO should be knowledgeable for Database and System Administration, IT Support & Networking, Infrastructure management, managing mail server, IT Software. Knowledge and experience of managing IT systems in a health care organization will be an added advantage. Incumbent should have good leadership skills to motivate and develop a team of professionals in current state of the art IT technology, and build rapport with end-users and senior leadership of LNH.
