Opd Services
Key Responsibilities:
• Assist Sr. Manager OPD Services in planning, organizing, and managing all the activities of the OPD Services, ensuring smooth operations of outpatient services.
• Liaises with other managers across the organization to ensure that outpatient strategies and activities are integrated with other parts of the organization and are aligned with the hospital’s overall objectives.
• Participates in the planning, creation, organization, and introduction of new OPD Clinics
• Participates in developing and implementing a hospital-wide quality improvement and patient safety program.
• Assist in developing the policies and procedures necessary to efficiently carry out the services.
• Monitor operating costs of the outpatient services and ensure resources are being adequately utilized.
• Ensures that all activities under the area of his/her responsibilities are conducted accurately, ethically, and according to the relevant policies, procedures, and standards.
• Manages, control, and supervises the OPD staff.
• Develops and organizes staffing schedules/duty rosters to meet the needs of the OPD service.
• Communicate with patients/attendants and evaluate their needs.
• Prepare and submit periodical reports to Sr. Manager OPD Services.
• Assist in hiring, evaluating performance, and training of staff.
• Perform any other task as assigned by Sr. Manager OPD Services from time to time as per the need of the department.
Qualifications and Experience:
• MBBS/B.ScN/BS Medical Technology/BS Physiotherapy or equivalent qualification from a recognized Institution. Master’s Degree or MBA in Hospital/Health Care Management will be an added advantage.
• 5 to 7 years experience in a hospital in managing patient services with preferably 2 years in a supervisory role.
• Candidates should have good management, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Proficiency in MS Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint) is mandatory.
