LNH offers FCPS residency training programs, for more than 30 disciplines: these are recognized for fellowships by the College of Physicians & Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP).

The duration of the Residency training varies from 2 to 5.5 years depending upon the specialties chosen.

Eligibility Criteria

Eligibility criteria to apply for Residency are as follows:

  • MBBS degree from an institution recognized by Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC)
  • One-year Internship/House Job
  • Valid PM&DC Registration/License
  • FCPS Part 1 from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP)
  • Required training completed in either General Medicine or General Surgery as applicable for any subspecialty

The application form must be submitted online only.

The application processing fee is to be paid online through LNH Website.

The application processing fee is Rs.3000 and will be paid online through LNH Website. The Fee Voucher and the Application Form can be downloaded after the payment.

Interested applicants can apply in multiple disciplines separately for each discipline.

Applicants must apply online through LNH Website and follow the instructions. Applications sent through email or courier will not be accepted.

The application deadline for LNH residency training is November 20, 2023. Applications received after the deadline will not be accepted.

Eligibility criteria for the FCPS residency training are as follows:

  • MBBS degree from an institution recognized by the Pakistan Medical & Dental Council (PM&DC)
  • One-year Internship/House Job.
  • Valid PM&DC Registration/License.
  • FCPS Part 1 from the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan (CPSP).
  • Required training completed in either General Medicine or General Surgery as applicable for any subspecialty.

The applicants will be contacted by the HR Department for the test schedule or interview date (as applicable). The test schedule will also be updated on the LNH Website.

No, if you have chosen a specific path in General Medicine/General Surgery (2-year or 4-year), you cannot switch to another path during the training, according to CPSP criteria.
