Since its establishment, the Department of Orthopaedic Surgery has provided comprehensive orthopaedic care for all skeletal conditions. Our surgeons, well known on both national and international level, devotedly and skillfully diagnose and treat incoming trauma cases and chronic musculoskeletal diseases. Our trauma team members use their expertise and experience to deal with all the skeletal trauma cases that come to the Accident and Emergency department. The department also conducts regular workshops on various aspects including Knee and Hip Arthroplasty, Sports Injury Arthroscopy, Pelvis and AO Trauma workshops, and musculoskeletal oncology, in which many orthopaedic surgeons from abroad have participated actively.
Education and Training
Liaquat National Hospital’s Orthopaedic Surgery postgraduate training program is accredited by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan and fulfills all the criteria and surgical exposure for the successful graduates to sit for FCPS examination.
