The Department of General Surgery prides itself for providing the highest quality of care to its patients. Our surgeons are among the most experienced and qualified surgeons in the country. Our well established team consists of highly skilled surgeons, experienced nursing staff and technicians. A large number of surgeries are performed annually. Our OPDs cater to a huge daily influx of patients. Additionally, our surgical team responds to incoming trauma cases to provide life-saving treatment. We provide a wide spectrum of clinical services including comprehensive and modernistic care for breast conditions. We keep our patient’s health first and strive to provide excellent care.
LNH unarguably runs a very busy Breast Surgery unit. This unit is run by competent and highly specialized breast surgeons who provide a full spectrum of care to patients with breast conditions.

The department runs a fully accredited postgraduate General Surgery training program (FCPS), recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan.We produce high caliber surgeons who successfully qualify for prestigious qualifications on both local and international levels, including FCPS, FRCS and MRCS. We are also one of the pioneers in the country to start a prestigious fellowship in Breast Surgery which is recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan.
In order to keep our trainees up to date with latest advancements in the field of surgery, symposiums, workshops and Continued Medical Education lectures, sessions and programs are arranged on a regular basis.
Being a research-oriented institution, we have an acute focus on clinical research, utilizing technologically advanced data and audit systems to carry out multiple research trials and projects.
