Key Responsibilities:
- Install, configure, upgrade, and monitor enterprise network devices to ensure high availability and performance.
- Design, implement, and manage Layer-2 and Layer-3 networks, including VLANs, ACLs, STP/RSTP, QoS, and routing protocols (OSPF, BGP, EIGRP).
- Manage traffic flow across access, distribution, and core layers for low latency and fault tolerance.
- Troubleshoot complex network issues such as routing loops, broadcast storms, and performance bottlenecks.
- Configure and manage firewalls (Cisco ASA, FortiGate, Sophos), NAT, access controls, and security rules for internal, DMZ, and internet-facing networks.
- Design, implement, and maintain DMZ architecture to host secure public-facing services.
- Administer MPLS circuits and support any deployments related to network services to optimize performance and redundancy across sites.
- Deploy, configure, and manage enterprise wireless solutions (Aruba, Cisco, Cambium, Huawei, etc.) and firmware lifecycle management.
- Implement and manage NMS platforms, including SolarWinds and PRTG, to monitor network health, conduct root cause analysis, and lead incident resolution
- Plan and manage primary and disaster recovery sites, including backup/failover strategies and specialized networks (CCTV, critical infrastructure).
- Manage end-to-end network projects and maintaining accurate documentation and network topology diagrams.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or a related field from a recognized institution.
- Minimum 5 years of hands-on experience in enterprise network administration, supporting LAN, WAN, MPLS, and internet-facing networks in large-scale or mission-critical environments.
- Strong expertise in network performance optimization, routing and switching, firewall security, and the design of high-availability, resilient network architectures.
- Demonstrated experience managing core and distribution layer switches, as well as multi-vendor network environments, including Cisco and Huawei.
- Hands-on experience with network monitoring and management tools such as SolarWinds and PRTG for proactive fault detection and performance analysis.
- Demonstrated skills in incident management, root cause analysis, and emergency response for critical network outages.
- CCNA and CCNP certifications required; additional security or wireless certifications are a plus.
- Excellent verbal and written communication, strong analytical and troubleshooting skills, and thorough documentation capabilities.
