SPEECH LANGUAGE THERAPIST

Key Responsibilities:
- Assessing, diagnosing, screening, and preventing language, speech, and swallowing disorders
- Diagnose and treat speech, language, social communication, cognitive communication, and swallowing disorders in children and adults.
- Perform controlled therapy sessions with individuals or groups.
- Help rehabilitate those who have experienced physical or psychological trauma.
- Should be able to work with patients from different backgrounds.
- Communicating with the patient, and liaising with their family members, & physicians to design effective treatment plans.
- Educating patients and their families on speech disorders and available therapies.
- Taking detailed notes on patient history and progress.
- Evaluating patient progress and implementing changes to therapy programs as required
Qualifications and Experience:
- Masters/BS in Speech & Language pathology completed.
- Should have 2-3 years of relevant work experience in a tertiary care hospital
- Able to evaluate, diagnosed communication difficulties, swallowing issues (Peads & adult)
