Telemedicine Clinics
Liaquat National Hospital telemedicine Clinics connect you with your consultant from work, home or any other convenient location. Through
your computer, smart phone or tablet, schedule an appointment and receive one-on-one, non-emergency care you need, when you need it.

Setting up ZOOM for Telemedicine Consultation

Initial Setup
- You must have a computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone with a front-facing camera to participate in the Telemedicine Consultation.
- The Zoom application can be downloaded from zoom.us/download. The apps are available at Apple App Store and Google Play Store as well
- Additional “How-To” instructions are available at zoom.us/resources.

Preparing for the Telemedicine Consultation
- Please make sure you have downloaded and installed the ZOOM App as described above.
- Please make sure that you have good Wi-Fi connection or a stable 3G/ 4G connection.
- Please have digital copies of all your investigations (images or PDF) before start of the Telemedicine Consultation and keep them readily available on your device.
- Please go through various ZOOM App controls available, in particular SCREEN SHARING. The details can be found at support.zoom.us/hc/en-us/articles/201362153-Sharing-your-screen-in-a-meeting.
- Please be available at least 15 minutes prior to the time of your appointment.

Joining the Telemedicine Consultation
- On the schedule date and time of your appointment a notification for Telemedicine Consultation along with the link (URL) to join would be sent on your cell number used to book the appointment.
- Please make sure that you do not share the above-mentioned link (URL) to anyone.
- On clicking the link, the ZOOM App would automatically launch.
- You will be taken to the Waiting Room where you have to wait for the Consultant to admit you to the room and start Telemedicine Consultation.
- Before the start of Telemedicine Consultation, you would be asked to provide a CONSENT for recording of the entire session. In case, you do not consent then you would not be able to join the Telemedicine Consultation.

During the Telemedicine Consultation
- You are requested to be patient, polite and avoid usage of strong or unethical language or gestures.
- The ZOOM App provides various controls during the Telemedicine Consultation, please go through these at zoom.us/resources.
- If needed, the Consultant might ask you to share your investigations. For this, there is a control SHARE SCREEN through which you can display the same to the Consultants (Please see Preparing for the Telemedicine Consultation above).
- The Prescriptions and Investigations advised by the Consultant would be communicated to you by respective Service Providers through telephone.

Ending the Telemedicine Consultation
- On completion of Telemedicine Consultation, the Consultant would end the session and you would be disconnected from the session.
- Please do not attempt to leave or end the Telemedicine Consultation on your own.
