Department of Clinical Biochemistry
Department of Clinical Biochemistry is open round-the-clock and works closely with all other medical and surgical disciplines to provide them with reliable and fast lab results. Our leading edge laboratory is ISO certified and equipped with the latest technology to provide around 250 combinations of routine and special chemistry lab tests services which aid our physicians in making prompt and correct diagnoses.
International agencies such as Underwriter@ Laboratories (USA), Conformite Europene, Canadian Security Administration and Geprufte Sicherheit certify our lab instruments. We are also a participant in College of American Pathologists USA proficiency testing and the National External Quality Assurance (NEQAPP) Programs for regulation and assessment of analytical processes. Our services are regulated by International Federation of Clinical Chemistry (IFCC), American Association of Clinical Chemistry (AACC) and American Society of Clinical Laboratory Sciences (ASCLS).

Education and Training
The department offers a 4-year residency program FCPS, recognized by the College of Physicians and Surgeons Pakistan, in Chemical Pathology. We also facilitate 4-years BS Medical Technology, Clinical Laboratory Sciences (CLS) program, recognized by University of Karachi and Higher Education Commission (HEC).
Department of Clinical Biochemistry has made significant research contributions over the years in international and national symposia, conferences, seminars and journals. For our research activities, we have received numerous accolades of appreciation from Higher Education Commission. We have been enlisted as one of the most technologically advanced and active department of Clinical Biochemistry by Pakistan Council for Science and Technology (PCST).
